POLK COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE6 days agoAgencyOn Thursday, June 20th, at around 6:30pm, the Polk County Sheriff's Office was notified about a blue Toyota sedan that had a minor crash and fled. The car was said to be occupied by people wearing ski masks and hoodies who were yelling and cussing at people in the neighborhood. The neighborhood where this occurred was Highland Creek II, south of Crews Lake Drive, off of Dewitt Drive in Lakeland. Responding PCSO deputies located the vehicle and made contact with the three occupants. It was determined that, at the time of the crash, Tamir Harrison (18) was driving. He was uncooperative with the investigation and refused multiple times to identify himself. Joseph Carden (19), was also quite uncooperative with deputies and also appeared intoxicated. After he was handcuffed, he managed to reposition the handcuffs, and attempted to escape by hitting the window with his head, and then by kicking it. And he spat on a deputy. The third passenger was cooperative and determined to have not committed a crime. Tamir Harrison was arrested and charged with Leaving the Scene of a Crash and Resisting. Joseph Carden was arrested and charged with Battery on LEO, Attempted Escape, Resisting, Disorderly Intoxication, and Violation of Probation. His probation is for trespassing, but he has a prior criminal history which includes burglary, assault, and battery. Joseph and Tamir were taken to the Polk County Jail. #PCSO #ArrestedByThePolkCountySheriffsOffice1Like
