His sibling is widely recognized as the quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs and has captivated the hearts of fans around the country, but Patrick Mahomes’ brother Jackson has millions of fans in his own right. The young TikTok star has more than one million followers on the platform and another 246,000 on Instagram. Jackson was born on May 15, 2000, to Patrick Mahomes Sr. and Randi Martin. He has made a name for himself on social media but the Mahomes family name did not exempt him from controversy.
Patrick has a younger half-sister named Mia Randall. She was born July 12, 2011, to Patrick’s mother Randi Mahomes. She has become quite a media personality specifically on Twitter, TikTok and Instagram where her mother Randi posts her. She is highly involved with sports like her big brother and enjoys playing tennis, volleyball, football, and basketball. Mia is an avid fan and supports her brother Patrick in the stands at every game she attends.
The football star has another half-sister named Zoe Mahomes who is the youngest of the family. Patrick’s father, Pat Mahomes Sr. had her in 2015 with his ex-partner Anika Zoe Cooper. Who is Patrick Mahomes' Brother?
In an attempt to help fans get to know him better, Patrick Mahomes’ brother Jackson made a YouTube video answering a series of questions in May of 2020 titled “Who is Jackson Mahomes? My first Youtube Video!”. He stated that being related to Patrick is like “being related to anybody else”. Although his older brother is under the spotlight there fortunately seems to be no strain on their relationship and they are still “super close”.
Despite being Patrick’s younger brother, Jackson towered over his older brother, and his height allowed him to pursue basketball during high school instead of his brother’s path [football]. After graduation, he attended the University of Missouri, Kansas City where he studied marketing and branded himself as the “unathletic” Mahomes. His whole family was immensely proud when he was the “1st in the fam” to graduate from college as seen through his mother’s tweet.
In his YouTube video, he states that his “whole life has been compared to” his major league baseball player dad or his NFL brother. However, he has found his identity through social media and has been recognized as “Jackson from TikTok”.
What was Jackson Mahomes accused of?
Patrick Mahomes’s brother Jackson has been caught in several controversies in the recent couple of years. In September 2022, he was caught on video pouring water on Ravens fans for heckling him after his brother’s team lost. Patrick came to his defense and stated that “There were things said to him, and Brittany, that you don’t see kind of on the clip. But, I mean he’s been good at it, at not trying to respond to that stuff. He takes a lot and he’s usually pretty good at it. And he’ll learn from it and just try to stay away from those people as best he can.”
Jackson made front page news again when he made a TikTok of him dancing on the sidelines, inside a specially roped-off section honoring the late NFL player Sean Taylor during a memorial game in Washington. One user said that Brittany and Jackson’s actions were “straight disrespectful”. While another said their apology was “a load of straight bullsh*t” because there is no way to “accidentally” step over the chains.
Most recently, Jackson has once again made news for aggravated sexual battery and the altercation was published online by TMZ. On May 3, 2023, Jackson was arrested and booked into a Kansas jail at 7:42 a.m., according to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office booking and release report. He was being held on a $100,000 bond for sexually and physically assaulting the owner of Aspens Restaurant and Lounge. The owner claimed that he tried to forcibly kiss her multiple times and shoved a male member of the wait staff.
The charges against him were dropped in January 2024, but there is still a fourth pending charge for misdemeanor battery where he pleaded not guilty. Jackson’s attorney, Brandan Davies, said that he believes his client “has done nothing wrong” and has “full confidence that the truth of the matter would ultimately be revealed.”

Taylor Swift Fans React to Jackson Mahomes
In October 2023, Taylor was spotted with Jackson Mahomes at a Chiefs vs. Chargers game. Their interaction has sparked controversy online and Swifties had something to say. Following Jackson’s charges of three counts of aggravated sexual battery, several fans expressed concerns over Taylor’s safety.

— Nick Viall (@NickViall) October 22, 2023Many tweets on the X platform shared their opinions, with one user saying that Patrick Mahomes’s brother needed to “stay tf out of Taylor’s life for a goddamn long interim (or at least not attend the Eras tour).” Another user said, “I’m scared for Taylor Swift with Jackson Mahomes right there.” Fans were unhappy with their hangout and Jackson’s proximity to Taylor.
Other users expressed distaste with Taylor specifically for willingly being around him. “Taylor Swift happily hanging out with Jackson Mahomes who we saw on video assault a woman… well.” Many believed she should not be associating with him because, as a strong advocate of victims of sexual assault, her relationship with him was hypocritical. “I’m so extremely disgusted with Taylor Swift. Imagine advocating for SA victims and then taking selfies and hanging around Jackson Mahomes who has been caught on video SAing somebody” another user said.
