Erling Haaland has quickly cemented himself as one of football's best current goalscorers and he set several records in 2022/23. As expected, he's spearheading the charge for more honours at Manchester City in the 2023/24 season.
The Norway striker has an uncanny ability to find the back of the net and has done so everywhere he's gone. He helped City win the UEFA Champions League for the first time to cap off an incredible individual season by adding to his Premier League and FA Cup medal.
Standing just shy of two metres tall, but with lightning-quick speed, Haaland is next to unstoppable in the final third.
At the age of 23, and with so much of his career still to come, the forward looks poised to score many goals and break many more records in the process.

Erling Haaland goal that broke Premier League record
Haaland got his Premier League single-season individual record 35th goal against West Ham in May 2023 and with a delightful chip of the goalkeeper on a throughball from his buddy Jack Grealish.
He obliterated the 34-goal mark set by Alan Shearer and Andy Cole during the 1990, adding one more before the end of the campaign to finish on 36.

Andy Cole and Alan Shearer had a 42-match season when they set the previous Premier League single-season record. But Haaland did it in just 31 matches.

A reminder that, in addition to scoring in both quarterfinal legs against Bayern Munich, Haaland scored a record-tying five goals in a single Champions League match when he helped bury RB Leipzig 7-0 in a Round of 16 second-leg match played at the Etihad.That made him only the second player in the history of the competition after Lionel Messi (2011/12) to score five goals in a knockout-round fixture.
Haalandsurpassed his personal record total for goals in a single Champions League tournament,blowing by his mark of10 in eight matches in 2020/21forBorussia Dortmund, when he also won the Golden Boot.
His goal in City's 3-2 win over RB Leipzig on matchday five of the 2023/24 Champions League made him the fastest and youngest player to reach 40 goals in the competition, doing so in just 35 appearances.
Haaland's goal against FC Copenhagen in the Round of 16 brought him level with Sergio Aguero's career Champions League tally of 41.

Erling Haaland FA Cup goals
Haaland scored his first FA Cup goals with a hat-trick against Burnley on Saturday, March 18. It was his second hat-trick in the space of a week and sixth of his 2022/23 season.
The striker was rested for the club's first FA Cup match against Chelsea (Third Round), and their Round of 16 match at Bristol City. He didn't score in either the semifinal or final, but City won both games.
Rounds three and four in 2024 came and went as Haaland was recovering from a foot injury but came back with a vengeance, plundering five goals in round five at Luton Town.
This gave him another slice of history, with Haaland the first City player ever to score five goals in two separate matches after he amassed the same haul against RB Leipzig in the Champions League in 2023.
He became the first City player since Frank Roberts in 1926 to score five goals in an FA Cup match, while also becoming the first man in the club's history to reach seven FA Cup goals as quickly as his fifth appearance in the competition.

Haaland was unable to help Man City come back from 2-0 down as Pep Guardiola's men were surprisingly eliminated by Southampton, who would go on to be relegated from the Premier League, at the quarterfinal stage of the 2022/23 competition.
