Is 30 faith enough? ›

38 if you want to be have every buff. 30 if you just want all the good buffs. 25 if you want Golden vow + all the other strong buffs 25 faith gets you, like the strongest anti magic damage buff. 10 if you just want the anti elemental buffs with the 12 being that + a health regen buff.

Joining the Warrior of Sunlight covenant initially requires 25 Faith (50 Faith pre-patch 1.04/1.05), but the requirements can be lowered through cooperative play. For every boss that a player helps another defeat, that requirement will go down by 5 Faith.

Sounds like you were looking at the original Dark Souls' pyromancy flame, which only scales with reinforcements. In Dark Souls II, the pyromancy flame scales with your "fire bonus" stat, which is governed by your combined intelligence and faith. Scales with int/faith it's better to just go 30/30 or 40/40 and so on.

In essence--faith is much better as part of a combo build, str/faith or dex/faith, int. is much better as its own focused build. Int rules in PvE. Faith for PvP, INT for PvE. The only good thing about INT regarding PvP is Dark Magic.

Occult Greatscythe is the best faith-build weapon I've found that scales with faith. Great moveset, high-damage (relatively speaking) and causes bleed. With high enough faith (~60) divine Painting Guardian sword can do some damage as well, if you can get accustomed to the rather unique moveset. +10 divine claymore...

Unlike the traditional Greatswords, Onyx Blade scales poorly with Strength and Intelligence and works well with Faith and Intellect. This on its own makes this weapon one of the best to use for Faith and Intellect builds.

Should I level up my resistance in Dark Souls? ›

Other than that, it just depends on your build. Resistance is one thing you will never need to level up.

Putting points in Resistance does not increase additional Magic or Lightning resistances beyond the standard increases granted for any level increase. The consensus among Dark Souls players is that it is a waste of souls to level up this stat, as doing so doesn't provide enough benefits.

Dexterity is a stat in Dark Souls III that increases attack damage with Dexterity-based weapons. Dexterity increases damage done by weapons with a scaling mechanic. A letter denoting a weapon's specific scaling properties is noted beneath the weapon's required Dexterity stat.

The core of the build is the Strength value of 60. This is the soft cap for Strength, so if you were to stop anywhere for a primary stat, it would be here. Faith hovers around 40, which may seem a bit on the low end, but it's more than enough for what the build wants to do.

For Faith, you should level it to 50 at a minimum. If you plan on casting a lot of incantations as both buffs and attacks, I would advise you to actually level it up to 80. If going for 80 Faith, I believe the Erdtree Seal would be the best one to use.
