She was still levitating. She couldn’t explain it. The weekend felt short and left her feeling excited. Was she over her fear of flying? Probably not. But Jimin and Taehyung were so relaxed, maybe partially cause they f*cked her in the bathtub to celebrate their bravery on jumping in the bungee, but also cause they jumped. First time doing anal without Jin’s supervision, Jimin was a total champ!
The other guys couldn’t believe it either
-I didn’t even do it before the accident- Snorted Yoongi while accommodating his jacket. A black sparkly jacket that made him look amazing, with his recently permed black hair, locks making him look gorgeous, his skin glowing.
-Well, they are something else- Laughed NamJoon next to him, fixing his own jacket as well, a wardrobe assistant helping to wired his microphone
It was Exile debuting week, the teaser caused so much steer over social media and streaming platforms that the group made history being the most viewed teaser in the internet history in the first 24h. The second teaser at the end of that week actually surpassed the first one, featuring the members close up face and gorgeous looks with sad and empowered expressions, with the melancholic melody in the back. This song was going to blow up the business according to fans and critics.
Lyra was surprised to hear that radio stations in USA and all over the world were making claims to the producers to send the track to play on their radio stations. She had hear their music over the radio before, mostly their English songs, so she was glad the English speaking fans were so passionate they were demanding hearing the Korean song as soon it was out in the radio in their countries as well.
And just like that, even without having the track out yet, there was a huge expectation and conversation turning around the most expected track in the Korean music industry. The group’s name was all over the news, the fan accounts, the social media, some saying the guys looked so healthy but also serious lately, and that it was probably too soon to be out in the industry, barely 6 months into recovery with an album already done. Others, probably haters, clamed that everything was a stunt and that the group wasn’t even in that plane to begin with. That the company had planned the entire thing to ensure their artists wouldn’t go to the military and would have an even more successful comeback.
It infuriated Lyra.
The album just happened organically, the guys just had so much to coupe and bare with, and that’s how they deal with crap, they pour it into music, storylines, performances. They created a masterpiece, that was for sure. Going back to some of their original hip-hop sound, but also incorporating so many music styles, trying new instruments. And the lyrics. So raw and real. Talking about changes, challenges, fear, love, how they were new people. Exile was just a part of it.
And the guys were excited but worried that maybe all the hype would evaporate and the album wouldn’t be up to the expectations. It was a natural fear of failure. Lyra understood a little bit but also knew the fan base was so loyal they would be fine.
And they were already so busy. The team for Jimmy Fallon reached out. They wanted a debut in their show. But they were not ready to fly. So HiYoon declined. They settled for a online interview and a live debut video. The team also invited them to do a whole week of content that they were pre-tapping at the best Jimmy Fallon’s style: Funny games, performances and interviews.
Jimmy Kimmel’s team also reached out, but as the debut was happening on Fallon’s, Kimmel’s team settle for a pre-taped video of the performance, to be played later on that week after the debut. That was what they were filming now.
The group also received invitations to perform in Koreans top music shows, Inkigayo, M Countdown, Show Champion and Music Bank. These would be their first performances in front of a live audiences, and they will all happened on that week to be ready to air after the debut. The guys were so excited. And Lyra wasn’t going to miss anything.
She wasn’t exactly welcome by HiYoon. But the guys brought her to their filming location on Monday after she arrived with Jimin and Taehyung from their trip. HiYoon wasn’t trilled there were so many photos and videos of them all drunk dancing and playing over the TIKTOK app from the actor’s accounts, but Jimin and Taehyung weren’t even in the videos, just maybe laughing at the background. Detail that wasn’t missed by the fans. Also a group photo before going into the bungee jump. A lot of people were curious cause she was there.
But Lyra didn’t had time for drama, she put her best expression and energy to hype them up today. Her gorgeous man, looking at the mirror, fixing their customs, while make up artists’ hands carried for the most little of details on their appearance. But she couldn’t approached them too much as the crew was filming the behind the scenes to upload into their YouTube channel later on.
-I actually wanted to go, it was a shame they didn’t bring me- Exclaimed JungKook getting out of the fitting room continuing the conversation
-You didn’t tell me with enough time, hyung needed confirmation- Added Taehyung rolling up his eyes -Next time pick up the phone- He scolded while the youngest wrinkled his nose laughing accepting it was his fault
-So the director has everything in place to start- Added HiYoon showing his face through the door frame -He is requesting for you to go to him so he can explain some camera angles- The men nodded grabbing on their phones and finishing with the microphone wires before exiting
-Good luck- She said in a whisper to Hoseok who was the closest to her
-Come sit, Lyra ssi- Said HiYoon’s voice again and she obeyed at once making her boyfriends snorted on her big eyes
She had seen the choreography before, when they filmed the video. but somehow she forgot they were f*cking stars.
Professionals.
The way they talked a little bit with the director who quickly explained - In very fast Korean - the camera angles and initial position, as well as some lights in the performance and they just nodded once and got to work. My God. They were amazing at this.
She gasped at the change of illumination and the music started.
They sang live. They moved with so much passion. No noticeable injures. No fear. Just pure performance and passion in the air.
-The expressions are amazing- She heard one of the producers behind the camera say -they have great energy- He was right. The voices all in sync, the camera angles getting their synchronized steps. They were pouring sweat at the end of it. And they went next to the screen to see the takes
-You´re getting ahead- she heard Hoseok said softly
-sh*t, I know I ruined it- Exclaimed Jin
-This part is also not synchronized, Taehyungah, raised the arm correctly-
-Yes hyung-
-I turned too fast in there- Said NamJoon and Lyra looked at them amazed on how she didn’t even noticed all their own critics
-Jiminah, look at the camera at the end of your verse, so we can do a close up- indicated the Director and Jimin nodded taking the direction -Again- He demanded and everything started all over
They did the choreography three more times, pausing in between to correct or to joke in front of the crew camera, until the Director said he was satisfied with it. On the other hand, Hoseok continued to single out details they could perfect for the next takes. They didn’t seemed frustrated about it, maybe just concentrated. She thought it was an amazing performance but she refused to talk and bring focus to the fact she was there as well, specially with the crew camera hanging around
-I like how it's looking- HiYoon offered when they went to change their clothing, Lyra siting at the back of the room with the stylists, looking at their bare backs, muscles glistening due to their sweat, the crew camera on them taking their naked torsos, the fans were going to faint and she giggle thinking about it.
-We still have to work harder in some details, but the voices are amazing- said Hoseok when the camera man asking him -It’s a very hard song to sing and dance-
-I can’t feel my stomach, I forgot how hard this was- Laughed JungKook receiving some gentle punches on his abs by Jin and Jimin making him laugh. Crap they were cute in front of the camera
-Some fans have been obsessing over your longer hair online in recent apparitions, what you think about that?- Asked the camera man giggling, normally his voice will be taken out when the footage was released
-Well, hair is just hair, we will eventually need to cut it- Said Jin
-Oh, but you look like a prince- Said the camera man and Jin snorted and flustered
-What? hyung!- He whined -Well, of course, I mean look at me- He did some corny expressions making Yoongi roll his eyes and leave the camera’s frame and the rest who saw laughed hysterically -What?! Yoongiah, come here!- Jin called turning his friend around -What are the fans saying about our Yoongi looking like this?- Yoongi looked embarrassed and set free from Jin’s hands
-What are you asking hyung?! Obviously the fans are happy we are healthy, leave it like that- But the camera man snorted
-Well I have seen a bunch of cat memes with Suga hyung’s man-bun and long hairstyle photoshoped in them- Snorted Taehyung making the rest laugh and Yoongi look at the floor all flustered
-Yes, fans are going crazy over you as well- Called the camera man
-Oh, I’m being summoned, bye- He said getting away from the camera making everyone laugh
-Summoned? Like a demon?- Called Jimin laughing while Yoongi pull far from there, where NamJoon was getting his hair retouched and Lyra looked at the entire interaction giggling on how cute they all teased each other.
They used the same set from the music video, but without the water falling on them, they only did the choreography while the camera did some crazy movements like she had seen them before. They had a special camera just for that
-They really enjoy doing this- she found herself saying marveled
-They are amazing- Called HiYoon next to her, she looked at him in surprise he talked to her, he had been acting weird. Angry almost. But now he looked concentrated in the performance, and Lyra noticed how the staff was paying attention, and her heart ache thinking it used to be a different staff who witness this and how maybe her men also noticed this
But she accepted HiYoon was being normal to her. What was even normal at this point? this man was so weird to her. She was still under the suspicion that maybe JungKook had something to do with his sudden change, but she omitted to think about it cause it really didn’t matter
-Good job everyone!- Announced the director after the last shot and everyone applauded -We are ready for tomorrow!- She received her men with a big smile
-You did great- She greeted Jimin who came to her with his hair damped in sweat and a bottle of water
-I’m so excited but so tired- He revealed -But ARMY is going to be so content!- Lyra nodded, and giggled when JungKook approached her to twist her hair and then jumped over NamJoon with energy
-This felt amazing!- He added
-We still have a lot to work on- Called Yoongi -Good job everyone-
-Thanks everyone- NamJoon bowed and the rest of her men also bowed to the staff and applauded and they started to go to the changing rooms
She went back with Jin and Hoseok, hearing the younger one name all the flaws he detected in the choreography and how he was still struggling for Yoongi to get to his position in time for his verse
-It will be awesome baby, don’t worry- Added Lyra smiling -For today there is nothing left to do, just rest, I don’t want your leg to get injured- He nodded unsatisfied with her response but agreeing he couldn’t solve it
-Just be on his ass tomorrow, I’m sure he’ll love the extra pressure- Laughed Jin and Hoseok glared

They all looked at their phone screens. The silence in the room was so intense he could hear a pin falling on the floor. The couldn’t avoid glaring at the wardrobe assistant while she picked up the pin and started to accommodate the blazers
-How many people in queue?- Asked NamJoon looking at the mirror fixing the strands on hair that were poking on his forehead. Lyra loved that kind of style for him
-Around five million- Answered HiYoon with his tablet -Six million-
-What, million? Seriously?- Asked Jimin impressed looking back from where the make up artist was cleaning his eye shadow finishing with the last details
-Amazing, ARMY is the f*cking best- mumbled Yoongi putting on his shoes
-Oh, it’s about to start- Said Jin holding his phone. And for the next minutes the entire changing room only played the debut of Exile, he felt his skin prickled when the first notes of the music started.
The video started, the storyline feeling serious, the scene looking like a movie and felt his stomach drop in excitement, nervousness and happiness. The story went along the lyrics, the song was melancholic but powerful and the dance edits showcased the difficult choreography making slow camera effects over their difficult steps with amazing shots of their face expressions in close up.
-Oh Jimin!- Called Hoseok noticing the staff camera recording their reactions to the video, though they had seen a little bit of it already -So handsome!-
-Stop hyung- Jimin giggled -Look at Suga hyung- He said in the precise moment the camera showed Yoongi turning around glaring over his shoulder, water pouring from his nose, his eyes sharp, his jawline sharper
-Wooo Yoongi hyung!- He called making his shy friend chuckled
-More memes are about to start- Added Taehyung making the rest snort
-Oh, look at those muscles!- Claimed Jin when a shot of NamJoon and JungKook with wet shirts appeared in the middle of the choreography. He could appreciate their bodies transformation as a good point. Specially at all the close ups the video had of their wet dress shirts sticking to their abs contracting, arms muscles, pecs and thighs. He had always been so lean and skinny, but he had enjoyed Lyra loving his muscles so much. She loved grabbing on his abs while she cum over his lap, or grabbed on his butt cheeks when she sucked on him, detail that he had unfortunately learned she did with all of them. He chuckled cause she was horrified they all knew. She like their body, so what? He for sure liked hers. Maybe he shouldn’t be bothering his pants thinking about that when he was about to perform
He focused on Yoongi’s stepping into his rap, making a turn with the perfect time
-That hyung- He pointed out -We need that same tempo- Yoongi nodded
-I think it was the floor, I felt like I could trip- Hoseok nodded, he appreciated understanding why it was a challenge for Yoongi the day before -I’ll check on this floor-
-It’s minor the difference, I don’t think anyone can tell- Argued NamJoon looking at the video -Oh, look at that- He exclaimed at Hoseok’s jump while the camera twisted all in slow motion -This video is awesome- the rest laughed at his honest comment and he flustered -Not cause it’s ours but... it’s awesome-
-You’re right- added Jimin laughing but proud. The music ended with a dramatic set of lights going darker, their silhouette in the dark. Taehyung looking over his shoulder, sharp brown eyes, his hair in a high ponytail moving on the direction of his movement. His amazing visuals ending the video
-Oh V!- Laughed Hoseok in the mood while Taehyung laughed shyly
-I didn’t know they were going to use that take at the end-
-I loved it!- Exclaimed Jin -Good job everyone!- The staff applauded and they join loving the reception and celebrating with them
-What do you think ARMY is going to say?- Asked HiYoon when the crew camera stopped recording

-I’ll never kill her- Answered Hoseok laughing feeling a spark in his chest about the comment, typically the comments were about other members, so he didn’t expect much

-Well, let’s get started, we need to record all of this- Called HiYoon putting away his tablet, but everyone’s energy was up, his friends moving quickly to the set.
The performance went seamlessly, using the same set with water for the debut pre-tape to send out to Jimmy Fallon. They ended up all wet and excited and Hoseok celebrated that Yoongi made it! The tempo perfect. JungKook’s voice perfect for the high notes.
They got to the changing room excited for the next recording. Dominio.
NamJoon pushed their initial idea on presenting another song for the debut and Dominio was the only song that felt right, it was such a strong song! Hoseok got all excited to hear it, he couldn’t stop! It was about all the changes they faced. It was about how to conquer their own reality and not get lost in it. It was heart breaking. It was intense, even when they adapted the lyrics on not cussing for the Korean Media. The choreography was really hard and the strategy was to give the audience a little peak-a-boo of another song in the album. They had more planned for the debut of the album but for Exile, Dominio felt like a good match on how they were telling the story.
Hoseok, JungKook and NamJoon handled all the story board and met with the producers to ensure the message of Journey was being told starting with Exile and Dominio and even inside the Exile music video they were references to other tracks that some eagle eyed ARMY where already speculating about without knowing anything about Journey. Now, seeing the set and little details they proposed in draft drawings and incomplete sentences put into a living thing was an amazing feeling. The wardrobe was simple, more street wear instead of the formal suits from Exile, more easy to dance in. The blue color felt like the sea in the island. The set was dark, with blue tinted lights, each member had some individual scenes and then dancing all together.
And the choreography for Dominio was insane, he for once got worried about his ankle and Jimin prepared for months to be able to dance it. Though Lyra wasn’t that excited about the steps. The producers really wanted for him to do a jump but HiYoon was really against it, for obvious reasons.
The music started and Hoseok started to rap. Only illuminated by the red light that changed over the side of his head. His hair pulled back on a high bun. He felt cool and ready for all his fans to know this story
Alone but surrounded. Strong body but weak minded.

He turned around for a part of the choreography dancing along, Jimin dancing behind him complementing the last part of his rap

Jin was next, his voice cutting clean his rap, the piano playing fast following Jin’s amazing high note and then NamJoon jumping into the choreography. Their distribution in terms on vocal points and dancing moves was different this time, as an effort of innovate and supporting Jimin and him with the difficult dance movements, plus ARMY loved when they showed a new side. Then Taehyung's potent vocals irrupted with the drums and heavy guitar notes, it was a roar asking for help, and Hoseok continued dancing completely in the zone with his friends performance, they were all killing it and he could feel it. Taehyung turned and now Jimin was looking at the camera with the saddest expression, his soft and dreamy sad voice, accompanied by the piano only in the bridge of the song, his face in a close up with the camera like time had gone still, Yoongi continuing the song while everyone turned in the floor and the choreography ended leaving him rapping in the middle with only the blue light

The music stopped and they all breathed in their last position. Nobody moved until the director's voice erupted in the microphone
-It was fantastic!- he claimed -It was phenomenal, I think we got it!- It took them a second to react, everyone was just so involved in the performance and he could see his friends panting with exhaustion. It was the first time doing that for the camera. At the rehearsal room it felt different, gloomy. Now he felt empowered -Now let’s start with the individual takes-

The guys were filming for 2 whole days. She was able to see them on Monday and then the next day she waved goodbye Taehyung early in the morning. They had interviews and then recording more materials all day. Exile music video was phenomenal but she didn’t get too much of a response in the chat as she congratulated them due to their busy schedule and her Korean classes on Tuesday.
She saw live the Fallon’s performance when it debuted in TV to check what the host had to say. Of course, he loved the presentation and Lyra was so proud of them, as she knew all the hard work they put into the performance. She smiled looking at them have a brief interview with the host. Jimmy Fallon had a great energy and didn’t ask one thing about the accident. He focused all in the new single, making jokes about the hard choreography and even if it was obvious the guys were a little timid speaking in English the conversation was more fluid than in the past. He also asked about the upcoming album making NamJoon hint on the project a little creating a lot of buzz over the media. She was so proud of her men, they were so talented and professional. Everything was going according to plan.
Then it was time to record the Korean Media music shows, and she wanted to be with them backstage, specially after hearing Jimin was getting very nervous the past day, but she wasn’t able to do anything. Not when she was in the middle of the public
HiYe explained that typically the fans were doing the line almost a week in advance and Lyra gasped in disbelieved, it was one thing doing a week long line when you were hyping for a concert, but it felt ridiculous wait that amount of time without knowing who you were actually going to see. And according to some comments she read, the group typically tapped on Thursdays for M Countdown, so she could see a bunch of unidentified ARMYs in the crowd.
She listened to the staff give very hard directions: No signs, no gifts, no smartphones, no cameras, no throwing things at the stage, no moving from the chair if it was not in bathroom breaks, no talk unless the artists is talking to the audience and only at the end of the show.
HiYe also explained the chants on the big screen in front of them, the chants for each fandom and everyone in the crowd should do it whether it was your favorite group or not.
Lyra was so intimidated. She obviously cut the line with HiYe but she wasn’t sure if the fans could noticed as a lot of other people cut the line due to prices they won on the radio, or due to fan club benefits and she cutting the line guided by a bodyguard as she was seated by order of one of the managers. HiYe ensured they were fine.
And HiYe could mix herself with everyone as she was Korean, but Lyra tried her best on not looking too out of place, she was already taller than most of the fans, so she was just wearing a plain white shirt and jeans, hiding her face in a mask, she knew better than just be in the middle of the public wearing something that accentuated her figure, and her hair all out, she would get recognized, and she didn’t want the spotlight. She just wanted to see their performance.
A girl group started. They were really young and flirty, they looked nervous though they had the look and the choreography was on point. Lyra didn’t feel any inclination for the song they sang. Very generic and young, and HiYe ensured they were very new in the industry.
Then a boy group with a very funny choreography and they seemed to be very popular as everyone in the audience screamed for them, even HiYe hyped them up on the chant excited to see them
-I liked this group, I didn’t know they had a single out- She said
-You don’t listen to the radio? All of these songs are playing everywhere- Said Lyra laughing recognizing the chorus
-No, at the hospital I can’t really be listening to the radio- She laughed and Lyra nodded. Well that made sense.
Then another girl group, a more matured one, they seemed to be really popular as the crowd was surprised and singing along even if they broke the rules. The energy on the song felt amazing, though the wardrobe make them look very uncomfortable, the song was catchy and Lyra enjoyed and tried to follow the chant at the screen, but confused some of the lyrics when reading them
-They were almost showing their booty- Laughed HiYe covering her eyes
-Oh good, I though that was normal-
-Some groups are just too western, that kinda seems to be the trend- HiYe observed
Then the bathroom time started while two other solo artists performed, and Lyra thought that was not cool they used their air time to allow the crowd to go to the bathroom, and she recalled how Jimin once told her it happened to them as well, as they were from a small company and not very popular at the beginning, sometimes they didn’t even air their performances.
-You think they’re going to performed today?- Said one of the girls near the sink while she made the line for the toilet
-Oh they have to, is the next recording after their debut so the show must have them today- The other answered -I can’t wait, I’m so excited!-
-You saw their performance for the American TV show?- asked the first one excited
-Oh God, I almost died!- The second one answered excitedly -I didn’t think they would be able to dance so soon, not after Jimin’s injury-
-Oh God yes! I had to got hide in the bathroom to see the performance live so my boss wouldn’t be angry- The first one agreed laughing -They must have rehearsed like crazy and do so much therapy, it breaks my heart they are working so much so soon-
-Totally, I’m so angry at their company-
-No, but let’s hope they were on board with this, they are so respected already that I found hard to believe they would be forced to do anything-
She quietly heard while they gossip about their favorite part of the song and their favorite member and then she left for her sit with a smile. The guys were right, ARMYs were so cute.
She arrived when another rock group was playing. Rock was refreshing and different from the regular Pop songs and Lyra appreciated the group playing. Plus the crowd was so excited and the band members where playing the instruments live, singing amazingly and looking hot
-Who are they?- She asked getting to her sit a little baffled -They’re good-
-They are called Black cloud, they are really popular cause their song was the lead on a recent very popular Korean drama- Answered HiYe -Plus they are not bad to look at- she said with a grin raising her eyebrows making Lyra snorted
-Yeah I guess- She said squealing when the girls behind her started to scream very loud and she just laughed with HiYe. They were definitely the oldest in that crowd in that section at least but she just felt so overhyped by all the younger fans
Then the last group was announced and the people got crazy when they started to put on the scenery, and a signed that read Exile
The girls next to her started to cry and scream. Everyone was so excited talking so loud on how amazing was the MV and the choreo and Lyra wanted to join in but she just remained as an observer, looking around to all the girls get their lipstick on and take off their coats to display their beautiful tops, fixing their hair. She giggled looking at how cute all the girls were to ensure they all look pretty for them.
-You got a lot of competition- mumbled HiYe laughing at her big eyes
-What are you talking about?!- She shook her head frantically -No! It’s not like that!- She said trying to sound convincing but HiYe just shrugged and looked to the stage as the show was about to start.
The light got down and she noticed the black figures taking place and the fans starting to loudly scream. She didn’t even hear the music at first until JungKook started to sing and the light got to his face and lighting up everyone else.
My God. She would never get bored on looking at them. Maybe she was becoming their fan too. She laughed at the thinking while trying to focus on their performance, giggling at how quiet and mesmerized the entire crowd looked, lost in their act.

They were still staying until pass midnight? No wonder they were only doing 3 shows! She felt so tired already, Music Bank show started for them at 4am, and she was there at 8am and the show started almost past 10am, why would they there at 4am?! Weren’t they a huge deal to waste of that time? Things that she wouldn’t understand and wouldn’t ask! But that meant that her men were already working for almost 24h straight and she was worried about it.

Lyra turned around to check on her phone, two lost phone calls and a text message of Yoongi

She turned around to pick up the mess in the living room and in the kitchen, the wine bottle neatly washed by Roxy in the corner of the counter, and her Sidra almost gone. Thats odd, she didn’t drink more than two cups, how was it almost gone? Lyra didn’t put too much attention to it. Just turned down the lights and went up to the penthouse to sleep on top of Yoongi’s chest.
